Sue McQuone

Director Of Susie Ltd

Hi my name is Sue McQuone, I was born in Singapore on 14th April 1969, my father David was in the Marines at the time and was stationed there, when I was 18 months old we went back to England and settled in Leicester, I have an older brother Stephen; my mum and my nana Connie, (she was my guiding light)

I went to school in Leicester and started my first part-time job at Aylestone working Men’s Club. I was 15 and collecting glasses. I left school at the age of 16 and started work in the hosiery business. At about this time I met my husband-to-be, Paul, who I later married on my 21st birthday.

Paul was, and is, inspirational to me. He has shown me that hard work has it's own rewards.
Paul is older than me, and now has three grown up daughters. We also have five grand-children. Our own family consist of two daughters. Georgina who was born in 1993 and Jessica (1996). As with most siblings, you might liken them to chalk and cheese.

Having holidayed in various countries around the world, we were toying with the idea of buying a holiday home abroad and had been half-heartedly looking.

In January and February 2000 first my grandmother, then my mother died. This was a tragic blow, and as you might imagine, became a turning point in our lives.

Later that year when we holidayed in Northern Cyprus, a plan began to formulate. Like you, we loved in the minute we got off the plane. We bought our land at alsancak and soon became part of the local village life, returning there twice a year thereafter.

Work on our project was not progressing as well as expected, and so two years ago we decided to sell up in the UK and move to Cyprus full time. We sorted the girl's schooling easily, but hardest off all was leaving my husband behind to carry on his work. The decision to move to Cyprus was easy compared with this.

In a determined effort to reclaim my husband from the British Isles, I decided to set up a business of my own, using the experience that I have accrued for the benefit of you all. The commitment you receive will not be less than 100%. I am told that behind my back, I am referred to as the Brotwigler because I do not let to go.

Why "Susieltd.com"? "Dotcom" appears to have the widest international circulation. The name needed to be easily remembered, and other combinations of our name had already taken.

Life in Cyprus is very simplistic. It is a pretty, and relaxing place to live. The people are friendly. Summers are long and hot, and sunshine seems to extend uninterrupted for months. I can only wish you the same life-style as my own.

( Although mine is always hectic.)
